Eligibility Criteria for SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2025

Stenographer Grade C:
🔹Candidates must passed 12th standard or its equivalent from recognized Board.
🔹10-minute dictation at 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) with transcription time of 40 minutes (English) or 55 minutes (Hindi).

Stenographer Grade D:
🔹Candidates must passed 12th standard or its equivalent from recognized Board.
🔹10-minute dictation at 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) with transcription time of 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi).

SSC Stenographer Age Limit 2025 (as on 01-08-2025)

For SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’, the age limit is 18 to 30 years (candidates born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2007). For SSC Stenographer Grade ‘D’, the age limit is 18 to 27 years (candidates born between 02.08.1998 and 01.08.2007).

Stenographer Grade ‘C’:
🔹Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
🔹Maximum Age limit: 30 Years
🔹candidates born not before 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2007 are eligible to apply.

Stenographer Grade ‘D’
🔹Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
🔹Maximum Age limit: 27 Years
🔹Candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007 are eligible to apply

Application Fee for SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2025:

The application fee for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories is Rs. 100/-, while candidates from SC and ST categories are exempted from paying any fee. The examination fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

The pay scale for SSC Stenographer Salary Grade ‘C’ is ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 under Pay Level-7, while for Grade ‘D’, it is ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 under Pay Level-4. Along with the basic pay, candidates are also entitled to various allowances as per government norms.
